RF 2019 World Rafting Championships

The World Rafting Championships is one of the most renowned rafting championships. Rafters from all over the world are competing in the toughest whitewater rapids. This year the competition takes place in the North of Queensland, on the Tully river. This whitewater rafting competition takes place over 7 days from the 13th-20th May 2019. The Tully River is a Grade IV river that 54 countries will be competing on! The competitions include:

  • Sprints
  • Head to Head
  • Downriver
  • Slalom

Accommodation and food can be provided. The dates are: 13th-20th May

Zambezi White Water Festival 2018

Safari Par Excellence is hosting the return of the Zambezi Whitewater Festival on the 25-27 October 2018. Open to all, the festival is in aid of celebrating the Zambezi River. During the two days, whitewater rafting competition teams of six will battle it out for the grand prize.

Food, drink and live musical performances will all add to the fun of this whitewater rafting competition!

World Rafting Champs 2018 – Argentina

A yearly whitewater rafting competition open to men and women, with three different categories.

  1. Masters (40+)
  2. Under 19
  3. Under 23

Hosted by the Government of the Province of Neuquén and Argentinian Association of Rafting. The river of competition is the Aluminé River, a world-renowned river run!

The dates are: 4 – 10 Nov 2018

River rafting competition Kitkajoki 16-18.8.2018

Traditional and legendary river rafting competition is here again! The wild waters of Kitkajoki challenge you and your team on an experience of a lifetime. Kitkajoki water offers some of the best rapids in Northern Europe! Are you ready for the challenge?

Teams consist of five persons and one person on the team will be the leader. You will also be allocated a guide who will work as a skipper for your raft.

Dates: 16-18th of August 2018

World Rafting Championships In New Zealand

November 13-24 will see the world rafting championships held in Rotorua, New Zealand. 69 teams from 27 countries will compete to win the grand prize! Raft teams are composed of six members with a 7th alternate. Male and female categories in four divisions:

  1. Open
  2. Masters
  3. Junior (under 23)
  4. Youth (under 19)

There four events are:

  1. Short sprint
  2. Head-to-head between two teams
  3. Slalom
  4. Downriver endurance race. Raft teams are composed of six members with a 7th alternate.

Dates: November 13-24
